Reservations Agent - Casual

About the role

A Radisson hotel in Auckland is looking for a casual Reservations Agent. You will handle all incoming reservations by phone, email and online channels, with speed, style and accuracy, and work closely with the Front Office, Sales and Revenue teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations by phone, email and online channels, with speed, style and accuracy.
• Manage room allocations, rate codes and special requests in the property management system (PMS).
• Upsell room types and packages that match the guest's needs and trip purpose.
• Keep booking details accurate, from names and dates to preferences and payment information.
• Stay up to date with promotions, local events and insider tips to recommend them to guests.
• Manage cancellations, amendments and no-shows according to policy, with a friendly, solution-oriented approach.
• Help prepare daily arrival lists, VIP briefings and reservation reports.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Reservations, Event Sales or Front Office, ideally in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
• Sharp verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible for weekends, public holidays, evenings and varying shifts.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field preferred but not essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel reservation systems (Opera PMS or similar) and online booking platforms.
• Proficiency with hotel sales systems (e.g. Opera, Delphi, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
