About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Administrator to join the Shared Support Services team on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. The role provides dedicated administrative support to the Sport and Recreation Grants programme, helping communities across Auckland access sport and recreation opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and triage the shared inbox, ensuring timely, professional responses.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, venues, catering, agendas and related logistics.
- Prepare, format, proofread and maintain business documents and templates.
- Maintain filing systems, databases, records and archives, including the SmartyGrants system.
- Support financial administration: vendor management, invoice processing, goods receipting and payment tracking via SAP.
- Track grant expenditure and budgets, producing regular programme updates and reports.
- Maintain risk, decision and action registers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Strong administration, coordination or project support experience in a professional environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
- High attention to detail, strong time‑management and ability to handle competing priorities.
- Confidence working independently while remaining collaborative and adaptable.
- Experience in local or central government environments is advantageous.
