About the role
The Department of Paramedicine at Auckland University of Technology seeks a permanent, full‑time Lecturer to bridge real‑world paramedicine practice with evidence‑based education. You will shape the learning experience of undergraduate and postgraduate students, preparing them for the clinical, ethical and decision‑making challenges of pre‑hospital care.
Key responsibilities
- Translate professional paramedicine experience into engaging, evidence‑based teaching materials.
- Mentor, assess and support students across academic and simulation settings.
- Contribute to curriculum design, programme development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly activities, publish research in your specialised field and secure research funding.
- Teach assigned courses using digital learning resources and innovative pedagogical approaches.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate qualification (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in Paramedicine, Emergency Medicine or a related health discipline.
- Significant professional experience in pre‑hospital or emergency care.
- Demonstrated teaching or training experience at tertiary level.
- Strong commitment to culturally safe, equitable and evidence‑informed practice.
