Professional Teaching Fellow – Business Communications

About the role

We are looking for a Professional Teaching Fellow to join the Business Communications Team within the Graduate School of Management at the University of Auckland. The role focuses on teaching‑focused academic duties, supporting postgraduate professional programmes and helping students develop business communication and academic literacy skills.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with discipline academics to embed the University’s graduate capabilities into curricula.
• Design and deliver workshops, seminars and team‑teaching sessions for postgraduate students.
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group tutoring on written and oral assessments.
• Give constructive feedback on student work and contribute to course development.

Required profile

• Commitment to delivering an extraordinary learning experience informed by research.
• Willingness to teach evenings to accommodate students who work part‑time or full‑time.
• Postgraduate qualification in English, language, communication or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience in corporate communication contexts.

What we offer

• Full‑time (40 hours/week) fixed‑term contract for 36 months.
• Salary range $105,791 – $128,065 per annum, aligned with academic standards.
