Customer Service Representative – Yard Operations & Sales

About the role

This position is the face of Hynds in the local community, supporting customers across the civil, water, wastewater and drainage sectors. You will work in a hands‑on environment, combining front‑counter service with yard operations to keep the branch running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑counter customer service and address enquiries.
• Manage yard activities, including stock control and inventory checks.
• Prepare sales quotes and process orders.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely dispatch of materials.
• Maintain accurate records and support overall branch operations.

Required profile

• Experience in front‑counter customer service and yard operations.
• Current full driver’s licence; forklift licence (F endorsement) is a plus.
• Solutions‑focused attitude with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good computer literacy and an eye for stock management.
• Reasonable level of physical fitness.
• Existing product knowledge in the civil/water sector is advantageous.
