Team Leader – Retail (Onehunga, NZ)

About the role

Mountain Warehouse is seeking an enthusiastic Team Leader to manage its Onehunga store. You will inspire a retail team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and drive sales in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Foster a collaborative team culture, coaching and mentoring staff to achieve shared goals.
• Maintain high shop‑floor standards, including stock presentation, ticketing and visual merchandising.
• Oversee daily store operations, opening and closing duties, and health & safety compliance.
• Motivate the team to meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Deliver consistent, high‑quality customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Represent the Mountain Warehouse brand positively and build community connections.

Required profile

• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
• Confident motivator with a talent for inspiring others.
• Experienced across retail functions such as stock control and visual merchandising.
• Strong communicator able to give constructive feedback.
• Proactive, results‑driven with a proven record of meeting goals.
