Extrusion Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

The Extrusion Technician will be responsible for running and optimizing extrusion lines that produce safe, high-quality pet food at scale. This full-time, on-site position is based in Taumarunui, offering a balance of small-town living and modern manufacturing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate extrusion equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Monitor line performance, adjust parameters and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal output.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Record production data and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the production team to continuously improve processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or food-production environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product safety.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time.
