About the role
Reliance Utilities is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its Auckland team. The role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for small‑business clients, building relationships, and delivering utility cost‑saving solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the utility sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with small‑business clients.
- Develop strategies that address customer needs and drive growth.
- Analyze market trends and provide insights for decision‑making.
- Negotiate contracts and advise clients on cost‑saving measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored utility solutions.
Required profile
- Strong sales and business development experience, including lead generation and client acquisition.
- Experience in market analysis, contract negotiations, and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of utility brokerage or energy markets is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Results‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field preferred.
Required skills
