About the role
We are supporting a leading New Zealand corporate department in hiring associate lawyers for its Auckland or Wellington office. The role involves advising a diverse national and international client base on a wide range of high‑value commercial transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on public and private M&A, joint ventures, infrastructure projects, procurement, energy & renewables, and digital & technology transactions.
- Draft, negotiate and review contracts and transaction documents for major projects.
- Support senior partners in complex, multi‑jurisdictional deals.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and market trends.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer in New Zealand or overseas with solid corporate and commercial experience.
- Experience gained at a top national or international law firm is preferred.
- Ability to work with both national and international clients on complex transactions.
