Registered Nurse – Full‑time Care Home

About the role

Maxwell Lifecare, a 25‑bed care home in sunny Blenheim, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its diverse team. This fixed‑term, full‑time position (32 + hours per week) offers AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, providing high‑quality, compassionate care to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of dedicated caregivers to ensure excellent resident care.
• Develop, monitor and update individual care plans.
• Conduct clinical assessments and document findings.
• Build lasting relationships with residents, families and general practitioners.
• Support Clinical Services and Care Home Managers in daily operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either in New Zealand or abroad.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping people and a collaborative team spirit.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and continuous improvement.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Registered Nurse qualification.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
