Registered Nurse – Fixed‑Term (3‑Month) Position

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a three‑month fixed‑term position at our Aotea village, part of Summerset’s retirement community in New Zealand. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality aged‑care services and enhancing the daily lives of long‑term residents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residents’ clinical needs, including routine care and end‑of‑life support.
• Develop, implement and review long‑term care plans and clinical assessments.
• Take charge of the care centre during assigned shifts, making appropriate clinical decisions.
• Provide nursing care in partnership with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Guide and support caregivers on shift, ensuring safe and effective practice.
• Build trusted relationships with residents and their families.

Required profile

• Current NZ nursing registration and practising certificate.
• Genuine interest in working with older adults in a retirement‑village setting.
• Ability to lead, stay calm under pressure and demonstrate emotional resilience.
• Strong communication skills and capacity to build rapport with diverse individuals.
