Registered Nurse – Fixed-Term, Full Scope Care

About the role

As a Registered Nurse at Oceania’s Lady Allum facility, you will practice at full scope within a nurse‑led service, delivering comprehensive care to residents. You will coordinate daily care, make critical decisions, and build strong relationships with residents, families, and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily care needs of residents while inspiring and supporting the care team.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions independently and collaboratively.
• Make critical decisions regarding resident care, demonstrating professional autonomy.
• Develop and maintain connections with residents, families, and community health professionals.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to care staff and team members.

Required profile

• Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
• Commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Previous experience using clinical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time‑management abilities.
• Ability to coach and mentor other staff.
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis, including weekends and night shifts.

Required skills

• Experience with clinical systems (e.g., InterRai – desirable).
