Community Occupational Therapist & Physiotherapist – Auckland (Part/Full Time)

About the role

ABI Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist and a Physiotherapist to join its community‑based interdisciplinary team in Auckland. The position offers part‑time or full‑time options and involves delivering hands‑on rehabilitation to adult and paediatric clients recovering from injury, brain trauma, or concussion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical assessment and intervention in clients' homes, workplaces, schools, and clinic settings.
• Support functional goals such as fine‑motor puzzles, return‑to‑sport programmes, coffee‑ordering tasks, and work‑hardening activities.
• Collaborate with medical specialists, neuropsychologists, and allied health providers within an interdisciplinary team.
• Facilitate seamless transitions from the TBI inpatient facility to community living and working environments.
• Travel across Auckland to deliver services where needed.

Required profile

• Registered with the Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
• Enthusiastic about busy, client‑focused work and making a positive impact.
• Kind, warm, inquisitive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Willingness to travel throughout Auckland.
• Previous experience in community or brain‑injury rehabilitation is desirable but not essential.
