Service Technician – Medical Devices

About the role

Olympus is looking for a Service Technician to join its National Service Centre in Auckland. You will be responsible for repairing endoscopes and related medical equipment, ensuring timely turnaround while upholding the company’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide endoscope service and repair across varying complexity levels according to the skills matrix.
• Accurately assess customer equipment and Olympus assets submitted for repair.
• Perform scope re‑processing (flexible, rigid, and peripheral) as required.
• Conduct final quality assurance on technicians' work when needed.
• Liaise with the Service Administrator when customer expectations differ from technical assessments.
• Maintain tools and workspace following 5S principles and complete weekly SAP reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fine‑detail technical repair work.
• Strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Willingness to travel for up to one month for initial training in Melbourne, Australia.

Required skills

• Strong soldering ability.
• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Electrical repair expertise.
• Proficiency with SAP for reporting.
