Helicopter Engineer

About the role

Heliworks Queenstown is seeking a dedicated Helicopter Engineer to join its on‑site team in Queenstown. This full‑time position focuses on maintaining the safety and operational readiness of our fleet while supporting unforgettable aerial experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled inspections on helicopter airframes, engines, and systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical or technical issues to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for each aircraft.
• Collaborate closely with pilots and support staff to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work meets NZ CAA regulations and company safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in helicopter maintenance, repair, and servicing.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• NZ CAA Aircraft Maintenance License or equivalent qualification.
