Assistant Cleaning Manager – Stadium Operations

About the role

Join the team at Forsyth Barr Stadium as an Assistant Cleaning Manager, supporting the Cleaning Manager to deliver high‑quality cleaning services across a premier New Zealand venue. This permanent, full‑time role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and support cleaning teams to maintain high standards throughout the stadium.
• Lead and develop staff through coaching, training and performance management.
• Assist with rostering, recruitment support and onboarding of new team members.
• Enforce health and safety and cleaning standards to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Monitor operational performance, produce reports, manage costs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cleaning, facilities or a similar environment with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Confident, approachable leader with strong communication and team‑engagement abilities.
• Hands‑on, reliable and physically fit, able to work in a fast‑paced setting.
• Solid understanding of workplace health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Flexible, proactive attitude with a commitment to high standards.
