About the role
The Front Office Manager will lead the Front Office team at Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and at home from the moment they arrive. This full‑time, on‑site position requires a proactive leader who can drive exceptional service standards and support the hotel's overall performance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver an outstanding guest welcoming experience and maintain front office operational standards.
- Oversee guest check‑in, room allocation, and ensure smooth settlement of guests.
- Maintain accurate guest accounts, reporting, and booking records.
- Guide and support the team to achieve KPI targets in loyalty programmes, sales leads, and upsell initiatives.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Manage daily and monthly tasks, roster planning, and budget compliance.
- Assist the General Manager with recruitment and staff development.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 + years experience in a supervisory or Duty Manager role within a hotel or resort.
- Proven ability to lead teams to meet KPI targets through coaching and performance follow‑up.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
- Strong people‑management skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Required skills
- Understanding of Strata‑titled operations and trust accounting (desirable).
