Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join Beca’s Tauranga and Hamilton Structures team. The role involves delivering high‑quality building projects while collaborating with multi‑discipline teams and supporting clients across sectors such as water, defence, education, healthcare, transport and power.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects and other specialists to develop structural designs.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Deliver detailed design documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Contribute to award‑winning projects across Australasia and the Asia‑Pacific region.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior staff as part of Beca’s collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Degree or tertiary qualification in structural engineering.
• Experience working on building projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client outcomes and a positive project experience.
