Mechanical Engineer – Building Services (HVAC)

About the role

Join the Tauranga Building Services team to deliver HVAC solutions across healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and community projects throughout the Bay of Plenty and beyond. You will be involved in mechanical design from concept through construction, developing your technical capability while managing your own work and contributing to project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical and HVAC systems from concept to construction.
• Coordinate project activities and engage with clients.
• Work across a variety of building services projects in multiple sectors.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to national and international project teams.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineer with a solid foundation in HVAC design.
• Experience on building services projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and working towards professional registration or chartership.
• Ability to manage own workload and work effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, IES or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE and CIBSE standards.
• Understanding of New Zealand building codes and standards.
• HVAC design expertise.
