Solicitor - Financial Services

About the role

Anthony Harper's Financial Services team is looking for a Solicitor to join its Tāmaki Makaurau office. It is a chance to build a career in a fast-moving, evolving area of law, working with banks, investment funds, insurers and other financial services clients. You will work across complex matters such as investment funds and managed investment schemes, financial services regulation, FinTech, new financial ventures, regulatory investigations, capital markets and emerging financial services issues.

Key responsibilities

• Work across a broad range of complex matters in financial services law.
• Work closely with experienced partners and have direct client contact.
• Take ownership of matters and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years' PQE and experience in financial services or a related area.
• Ideally experience from a financial services practice or financial institution; lawyers with transferable experience in banking, corporate, markets, regulatory or litigation are also welcome.
• Commercially minded, with good drafting and communication skills and the confidence to build trusted client relationships.
• Enjoys taking ownership of work within a collaborative team.
