Social Media & Marketing Assistant (Part‑time, Freelance)

About the role

This part‑time freelance position is ideal for a creative and reliable social media professional who is passionate about handmade products and small‑business growth. You will help a Sydney‑based home‑fragrance brand increase its online visibility, engage audiences on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and turn social media interest into website sales.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and update Facebook, Instagram and TikTok profiles with reels, posts and stories.
• Assist in planning and executing Meta/Facebook ad campaigns to boost reach and conversions.
• Support product promotions and new‑product launches through targeted social‑media strategies.
• Create and schedule email newsletters to engage subscribers and promote products.
• Monitor analytics, track growth, engagement and sales conversions, and provide regular insights.
• Collaborate on ideas to increase website traffic and drive online sales.
• Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s aesthetic and values.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social‑media marketing, preferably for eCommerce or handmade‑product brands.
• Strong content‑creation skills, including short‑form video (reels), graphics and copywriting.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of social‑media trends and platform best practices.
• Familiarity with the Australian business environment and consumer trends.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Availability of approximately 3–4 hours per week on a freelance, part‑time basis.
