Senior Social Media Manager

About the role

McCann NZ is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Social Media Manager to join its fast‑paced Group Social Team. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of social strategies for multiple brands, driving both always‑on content and integrated campaign initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact for Group Social accounts and liaison for the Account Management team.
• Lead social strategy, planning, execution and reporting for always‑on clients and allocated campaigns.
• Dispatch creative assets and social content to media agencies, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify emerging social trends, produce reactive organic content and manage paid social initiatives.
• Develop and present end‑of‑campaign performance reports to clients and internal teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor, championing best‑in‑class social work both internally and externally.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a social or digital environment.
• Proven success managing social channels and creating strategies that meet business objectives.
• Strong project‑management and organisational skills, able to juggle multiple complex campaigns.
• Comfortable working under pressure and delivering high‑quality work on tight deadlines.
• Deep familiarity with TikTok trends and short‑form vertical video best practices.
