Senior Consultant – Financial Advisory (Public Sector)

About the role

Morrison Low Advisory is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Financial Advisory practice, supporting local and central government clients in Auckland or Wellington. You will work on real‑world projects that help public sector organisations achieve financial sustainability and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for long‑term planning and scenario analysis.
• Conduct financial sustainability assessments and business case analyses.
• Design revenue, pricing and financial policy frameworks.
• Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Manage project delivery to ensure timelines, budgets and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (e.g., finance, economics, accounting) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in the public sector or a consultancy environment, preferably with local government projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.
• Strong critical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship and communication abilities.
• Client‑focused mindset with a track record of delivering practical solutions.
