Processing Officer – 3 Shifts Available (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Processing Officers at NZ Post sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight from the Strathallan Street hub. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract and offers three shift patterns to suit different schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and organise parcels and freight for timely dispatch.
• Consolidate items into delivery batches for couriers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure parcels are routed correctly.
• Operate sorting equipment safely and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support shift hand‑over and act as Charge Hand when required.

Required profile

• Commitment to teamwork and workplace safety.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Good geographical knowledge of the delivery area.
• Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
