Forklift Mechanic – Dunedin, New Zealand

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Dunedin. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of electric, diesel and LPG forklifts as well as other heavy equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair various forklift models.
• Perform diagnostics and electrical fault‑finding.
• Carry out minor and major mechanical repairs.
• Provide field service and respond to equipment breakdowns and customer call‑outs.
• Maintain high service standards and build positive customer relationships.

Required profile

• Relevant automotive or mechanical trade qualification.
• Proven experience working on electric, diesel or LPG forklifts.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to complete major repairs independently and work unsupervised when required.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude and customer‑focused approach.
