Manager, Fair Conduct & Treating Clients Fairly (TCF) Compliance

About the role

Rabobank New Zealand is seeking an experienced compliance leader to head its Fair Conduct and Treating Clients Fairly (TCF) programme. Reporting within the second line of defence, you will provide expert advice, challenge business decisions, and ensure regulatory obligations are met while fostering a culture of fairness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the Fair Conduct Programme and TCF framework.
• Identify emerging conduct risks, strengthen controls and enhance client outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with FMCA and CoFI requirements and support regulatory reporting.
• Provide conduct‑risk advice across the business and act as a trusted advisor.
• Deliver second‑line monitoring, control testing and analysis of conduct trends.
• Prepare and present reports to executives, committees and the Board.
• Oversee the annual Fair Conduct Programme review and Board approval process.
• Develop and deliver conduct‑risk training and promote fairness principles organisation‑wide.

Required profile

• Seasoned compliance professional with deep knowledge of conduct risk and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead programme improvement and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret trends, complaints and risk indicators.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills, with experience in a banking or financial services environment.
