Fine Fragrance Beauty Advisor - Ashburton

About the role

Farmers, a department store with 60 stores nationwide, is hiring a Fine Fragrance Beauty Advisor in Ashburton. It is a permanent part-time position covering Monday (9:30am-5:30pm), Thursday (9:00am-3:30pm) and Sunday (10:00am-4:00pm). The role works with an extensive range of international prestige fragrances such as Chanel, Dior, YSL, Armani, Versace, Tom Ford and others.

Key responsibilities

• Create and build a clientele, acting as their trusted fragrance advisor.
• Collaborate with the Counter Manager, Beauty Sales Manager and Brand Managers to grow the business.
• Recommend fragrances confidently based on product knowledge and customer preferences, and close the sale.
• Share your passion for the brands and their offerings.

Required profile

• Experience working in a retail environment and achieving sales targets; experience in the beauty industry or with a luxury brand is an advantage.
• A passion for beauty and for helping customers feel great about themselves.
• Genuine interest in current beauty trends and pop culture, with motivation to up-skill on new products, reviews and launches.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills, able to approach customers in-store and by telephone in a confident, friendly way.
• Product knowledge of prestige fragrances.
