Finance Specialist – Aviation Finance

About the role

Air New Zealand is seeking Finance Specialists to join its Finance team in Auckland. The role supports business performance by providing accurate financial analysis, reporting and insight to senior leaders across the airline group.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and budgets.
• Prepare month‑end results, variance analysis and management reports.
• Present financial information clearly to operational leaders and project managers.
• Support balance‑sheet control, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with finance business partners, portfolio teams and project managers.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, commercial or analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret trends and explain variances.
• Curiosity, commercial judgement and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
