Finance Business Partner (Wellington)

About the role

Pacific Health Group is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its Wellington team. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders across the multi-entity health organisation, translating financial data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with operational teams.
• Prepare clear monthly performance reports and variance analysis.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Support scenario modelling and commercial decision-making.
• Improve financial literacy and performance accountability across the business.
• Contribute to system and reporting enhancements, including dashboards and KPIs.

Required profile

• Based in Wellington, New Zealand.
• 3–5+ years experience as a Finance Business Partner after obtaining a CA or CPA qualification.
• Proven ability to work with senior operational stakeholders in a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting financial insights to non-finance audiences.
• Healthcare sector experience is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct or Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Power BI reporting.
• Financial modelling, budgeting and variance analysis.
