Early Childhood Teacher (Kaiako) – Kaupapa Māori

About the role

Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei runs Te Puna Reo Ōkahukura, an accredited early learning centre licensed for 45 children and taught through Māori worldviews. It is a joint initiative between Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and the Ministry of Education, and is part of a long-term plan for educational excellence in the hapū, with te reo Māori and tikanga as a foundation. The Kaiako nurtures and feeds the life of children under the protection of the Māori language, customs and traditional knowledge.
