Commercial Finance Business Partner

About the role

As a Commercial Finance Business Partner you will work closely with Sales, Category, Operations and Finance leaders to turn data into actionable insight. You will own the financial performance of the NZ Grower Pools, providing forecasts, reconciliations and analysis that shape commercial decisions for one of New Zealand’s largest fresh‑produce businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with commercial leaders to deliver financial insight across Sales, Category and Grower Pools.
• Build monthly forecasts and reporting that support better commercial decisions.
• Analyse pricing, costs, margins and market performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Reconcile complex financial information with absolute accuracy.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to help leaders understand trade‑offs.
• Support planning, forecasting and month‑end reporting.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve finance processes during the S/4HANA transition.

Required profile

• Commercially curious and confident to challenge assumptions.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity, resilient and self‑driven.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex models, power queries, pivot tables, large data sets).
• Experience with SAP and S/4HANA.
