Business Development Manager - Restaurants (Auckland)

About the role

EatClub is a food-tech platform that helps restaurants and bars find customers and run deals, with over 8,000 venues on its platform. It is hiring a Business Development Manager for Auckland, a hybrid role based in the Business Development Management department. You will spend most of your time out in the market, meeting venue owners and building partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new restaurant partners through walk-ins, cold calls and scheduled meetings.
• Meet venue owners and operators face-to-face across Auckland and deliver product pitches.
• Build and manage a high-volume pipeline of opportunities in your territory.
• Negotiate and close commercial agreements with venue partners.
• Onboard newly signed venues and support them through their first campaigns.
• Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Aim for 15+ outbound activities per day (calls, walk-ins and booked meetings).
• Share insights on the local hospitality market with the wider team and help refine the sales approach for new cities.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a high-volume, target-driven role with specific numbers behind it.
• Comfort with high outbound activity, including cold outreach and in-person conversations.
• Experience managing a pipeline and progressing deals independently.
• Background in high-rejection environments such as door-to-door sales, car sales or high-volume outbound.
• Ability to state your KPI attainment, conversion rate and average deal cycle from your last role.
• Preferred: hospitality, food tech, SaaS or marketplace experience, a hospitality network, and experience launching or growing new markets.
