Associate Director, Finance, Economics & Analytics

About the role

Join PwC New Zealand’s Finance, Economics & Analytics team as an Associate Director. You will lead complex, cross‑industry projects, applying economic principles and financial insight to deliver strategic solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to assess needs and design innovative, data‑driven solutions.
• Develop financial models, business cases, valuations and strategic option assessments.
• Lead project teams through the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
• Drive business development by building relationships and leveraging market presence.
• Present strategic insights to demonstrate client value and identify expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in finance, economics, strategy or commercial roles, either in professional services or in‑house.
• Proven track record of steering complex projects to successful completion.
• Degree in finance, economics or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and economic modelling capabilities.
• Ability to perform thorough policy, regulatory and market analysis.
