Home Lending Manager

About the role

As a Manager – Home Lending within ANZ’s Branch & Home Lending team, you will lead, coach and develop a group of home lenders, ensuring they meet a wide range of home‑loan needs while delivering an outstanding customer experience throughout the home‑buyer journey. The role sits in a dynamic banking environment that encourages learning, growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Champion customer experience and lead the team to deliver exceptional service at each step of the home‑buyer journey.
• Drive personal banking home‑loan objectives, manage the loan pipeline and ensure deals are triaged to the most appropriate lender.
• Maintain loan quality by troubleshooting, providing escalation support and conducting quality assurance.
• Promote the wider home‑loan strategy, priorities and change initiatives.
• Develop and coach home lenders at all experience levels, delivering on‑the‑job training and technical advice.

Required profile

• Strong people leadership with ability to coach experienced lenders.
• Deep understanding of the home‑buying journey, credit policy, risk appetite and pricing framework.
• Advanced knowledge of business lending, cash‑flow analysis and credit assessment systems.
• Proven track record in new‑business acquisition and community engagement.
• Collaborative mindset to work with credit, pricing and other ANZ teams.

Required skills

• CAD certification (or equivalent credit assessment designation).
• Experience with credit assessment platforms such as LA and Biz Cat.
