Corporate Tax Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

Join PwC's Corporate Tax practice in Auckland as an Associate or Senior Associate. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals on strategic tax reviews, corporate tax matters, and innovative client solutions while leveraging AI and digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Use GenAI, digital tools, PwC methodologies and quality frameworks to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Support and, at Senior Associate level, coach junior team members on advisory and compliance work.
• Build trusted client relationships and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Identify value‑adding opportunities for clients and contribute to business development.
• Research and prepare technically sound advice on tax matters such as acquisitions, divestments, tax reviews and corporate tax issues.
• Deliver tax advisory and compliance engagements of varying complexity, coordinating defined workstreams where appropriate.
• Develop future‑focused skills while working with global clients across multiple industries.

Required profile

• Relevant tax experience gained in professional services, a commercial environment, or a revenue authority.
• Developing or strong understanding of tax legislation and revenue authority practices in New Zealand or a comparable jurisdiction.
• Curiosity about technology and a willingness to build digital skills.
• Passion for tax, eagerness to learn and ability to thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment.
