Support Worker - Diamond Harbour

About the role

HealthCare NZ is a provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support, aiming to help people live as independently as possible. It is seeking a Support Worker in Diamond Harbour who is available Monday to Sunday between 7.30am and 6.30pm and is flexible to travel around. The role sits within a wider team helping clients achieve their goals through practical and emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Follow a care plan, which may include meal preparation, community outings and integration, giving medication and personal care such as showering and toileting
• Help clients live independently in their homes and community, supporting home management and hoisting

Required profile

• A desire to help and support others, with excellent communication skills
• Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is advantageous
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
• Full New Zealand driver's licence and own reliable transport are required for most positions
• Right to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo police vetting and additional checks
