Service Administrator - Patient Administration Service

About the role

The Patient Administration Service (PAS) supports more than 300 administration professionals across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley Hospitals, partnering with clinical teams so patients receive the right care at the right time. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wellington Hospital, in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, customer service and attention to detail are essential.

Required profile

• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, positive attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to professional and compassionate customer service for patients, whānau and colleagues.
• Previous administration or customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or large service environment, is desirable.
• Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and high-quality outcomes.

Required skills

• Confident use of Microsoft 365 and a range of computer systems, with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
• A continuous improvement mindset, ready to identify opportunities to improve processes and support change.
