MDM Coordinator

About the role

Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) is looking for an experienced coordinator to plan, run and support Multidisciplinary Meeting (MDM) sessions at Hutt Hospital. MDMs are regularly scheduled meetings where representatives from specific services discuss diagnostic tests and treatment options for individual cancer patients. The role sits within the Patient Administration Service, a group of five services supporting the patient journey from referral to discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare agendas and documentation for MDM meetings so attendees have all the information in advance
• Record meeting outcomes accurately and on time
• Manage the day-to-day running of the meetings and help identify and implement improvements
• Communicate with clinicians and collect quality data
• Travel may be required between Hutt and Wellington campuses; a clean driver's licence is essential

Required profile

• Highly experienced coordinator with excellent administrative skills
• Good command of English and a positive attitude
• Clean driver's licence

The salary band is $73,476 to $81,164 pro rata, depending on experience. Applications are made through the online careers portal.
