About the role
BDO’s Business Advisory team in East Tamaki is looking for a Senior BAS Accountant to help clients plan for sustainable growth. You will work closely with senior leaders, providing expert advice on accounting, tax and financial management while building strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Apply accounting standards, prepare financial statements and manage reporting functions for a range of clients.
- Prepare management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts to support client decision‑making.
- Stay current with tax legislation, prepare accurate tax returns and identify tax planning opportunities.
- Identify business issues, develop growth plans and advise on financial matters.
- Understand filing requirements, recognise trust opportunities and implement appropriate accounting packages.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CA or ACCA qualification.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
