Project Manager – Infrastructure Delivery

About the role

The Buller District Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high‑profile capital works and infrastructure projects that benefit local communities. You will manage projects from concept through to completion within the Three Waters team, balancing strategic planning with hands‑on delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver capital works and infrastructure projects across transportation, water, community facilities and civil infrastructure.
• Manage the full project lifecycle including planning, procurement, construction, handover and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead procurement processes and oversee large construction and consultant contracts.
• Provide specialist engineering and project‑management expertise to influence Council decisions.

Required profile

• Under‑graduate diploma or technical certificate in a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure or capital works projects.
• Strong project‑management experience covering planning, scheduling, budgeting and reporting.
• Current full New Zealand driver licence and legal right to work in New Zealand.
