Site Supervisor – Taranaki

About the role

Join Connell Contractors as a Site Supervisor in Taranaki, leading on‑site teams to deliver high‑quality civil construction projects. You will be the front‑line leader ensuring safety, productivity and quality on a variety of infrastructure works.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily toolbox talks and provide hands‑on leadership on site.
• Maintain crew safety, productivity and quality standards.
• Mentor and up‑skill team members through practical guidance.
• Interpret plans, solve problems and meet project targets.
• Ensure equipment is well maintained and documentation is accurate.
• Liaise with clients, Contracts Managers and other site teams.

Required profile

• Minimum three years NZ‑based supervisory experience in civil construction.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage, precast concrete and in‑situ concrete.
• Strong health & safety focus and natural leadership.
• Attention to quality and paperwork.
• Confidence reading plans, scopes and schedules.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
