Inside Sales Representative, SME & Growth

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system for global commerce, is looking for an Inside Sales Representative for its SME & Growth team in Auckland. You will manage small business leads end to end: contacting them, gathering the information needed and closing the sale. This is an early-member role in the New Zealand team, which works with SMEs to streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customer leads, collect the key information needed and close the sale
• Work with stakeholders to optimise workflow, client onboarding and compliance, and give insights to the Growth team
• Build relationships with prospects, uncovering needs through effective questioning to qualify interest and viability
• Update activity and contact information in the CRM and support reporting
• Provide feedback and insights to cross-functional teams such as Marketing to improve targeting and messaging

Required profile

• 1-2+ years' track record of success in sales
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Start-up and fintech experience preferred
• Passion for talking to customers, listening to their needs and explaining the benefits of Airwallex
• Driven to achieve KPIs and focused on a great customer experience
• Great communicator on the phone and by email, and a team player able to collaborate across global offices
