Inbound Sales Representative, SME & Growth

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system for global commerce, is looking for an Inbound Sales Representative to join its New Zealand team in Auckland. You will manage small business leads end to end: contacting them, gathering the information needed and closing the sale. The role sits in the SME & Growth Business team, which works with small and medium-sized enterprises to streamline cross-border payments and unlock new revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers, collect the key information needed and close the sale
• Work with stakeholders to optimise workflow, client onboarding and compliance, and give insights to the Growth team
• Develop relationships with prospects, uncovering needs through effective questioning to qualify interest and viability
• Update activity and contact information in the CRM system and support reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing to improve targeting and messaging

Required profile

• 1-2+ years' track record of success in sales
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Start-up and fintech experience preferred
• Used to delivering value in complex situations and energised by learning about new and existing products

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Great on the phone and via email, with strong customer rapport
• Ability to articulate the company's value proposition and explain how it helps customers
• Self-starter able to work in a hyper-growth environment
