About the role

As an Assistant Branch Manager in ANZ's Personal Banking Branch Network, you will support daily operations, coach a team of bankers and step in to lead the branch when the Branch Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

Support the running of daily branch operations and customer service delivery.
Coach and develop staff to meet customer needs with care and confidence.
Monitor branch performance and identify improvements for customer and employee outcomes.
Ensure compliance with policy and risk procedures across the branch.
Step into leadership when the Branch Manager is away, taking full responsibility.

Required profile

Experience leading or coaching a team, preferably in customer service or retail banking.
Ability to contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.
Strong communication skills and relationship‑building ability.
Understanding of compliance and operational procedures.
Commitment to doing what’s right for customers every time.
