Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist – ANZ

About the role

Join Stantec’s Talent Acquisition team in Wellington and help shape how the company finds and engages great talent across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with recruiters, you will uncover hard‑to‑reach candidates, build high‑quality pipelines and support both immediate hiring needs and long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and engage talent for live roles across ANZ using tools, market mapping, referrals, database searches and creative outreach.
• Build meaningful connections with passive candidates, nurture relationships and grow strong talent pipelines and communities.
• Support screening and early‑stage assessment, moving sourced candidates through the recruitment process in partnership with Talent Acquisition Specialists and hiring managers.
• Develop and maintain discipline‑aligned talent pipelines, applying a sourcing lens and subject‑matter expertise to critical hiring areas.
• Share talent market insights and candidate intelligence to shape hiring strategies and workforce planning.
• Maintain accurate ATS data and uphold best‑practice recruitment processes and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in candidate sourcing, either in‑house or agency.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with candidates and stakeholders.
• Curious, organised and motivated to source hard‑to‑find talent.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work across locations, disciplines and priorities.
• Track record of devising creative sourcing strategies in a high‑volume environment.
• Comfortable building relationships with internal hiring stakeholders and the wider TA team.
• Experience using online sourcing strategies and LinkedIn Recruiter/Insights.
• Technical construction or engineering background is a plus.
