Talent Acquisition Manager – New Zealand

About the role

Abbott is seeking a senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead end‑to‑end recruitment solutions for its New Zealand affiliates. You will act as a trusted talent advisor, partnering with senior leaders to deliver high‑quality hiring outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary recruitment partner for senior managers and directors, translating business priorities into actionable hiring strategies.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for a range of roles, from high‑volume hiring to complex specialist positions, ensuring timely offers and hires.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using Abbott’s careers page, job boards, social media, ATS, CRM talent pools, referral programs, and virtual job fairs.
• Provide market insights and data‑driven advice to influence hiring decisions and meet diversity goals.
• Oversee contingency search partners for hard‑to‑fill roles when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior talent acquisition professional, preferably within a global or healthcare environment.
• Strong ability to build credibility with hiring managers and influence recruitment outcomes.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple recruitment cycles simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for talent pipelines
