Solutions Architect

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead enterprise‑wide data, cloud and AI transformation programmes across the energy and utility sector in the Asia Pacific region. You will shape technical strategy, ensure architectural integrity and drive sustainable, innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise and solution architecture for energy trading, wholesale electricity and gas markets, demand forecasting, customer operations and billing.
• Review change proposals for impact on the broader technology landscape and alignment with long‑term strategy.
• Assess feasibility of new functionality across cloud, on‑premises and middleware ecosystems.
• Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize IT initiatives balancing value, speed and architectural integrity.
• Identify technical, data or functional inconsistencies and propose remediation.
• Develop multiple solution blueprints (build vs. buy, cloud vs. modernization) and analyse trade‑offs.
• Facilitate cross‑functional discussions and present architectural decisions to steering committees.
• Produce final blueprints, data models and integration diagrams using ArchiMate and Visio.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise and solution architecture.
• TOGAF certification.
• Proven track record in IT transformation programmes with Agile and project‑management exposure.
• Strong understanding of the energy and utility domain and industry trends.
