Modern Workplace Engineer / EUC Specialist - Contract

About the role

This contract position is for a Modern Workplace Engineer / EUC Specialist within a well‑established New Zealand organisation that operates a hybrid on‑premises and multi‑cloud infrastructure. The role starts as a two‑month contract in June, with the possibility of month‑to‑month extension and a pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex hardware, software, and identity issues while meeting SLAs.
• Manage, image, and patch a diverse enterprise environment supporting Windows and macOS fleets.
• Design, scale, and maintain centralized endpoint configurations using Intune and JAMF.
• Own application packaging, deployment pipelines, and configuration policies.
• Administer Active Directory, GPOs, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid single sign‑on structures.
• Support and scale Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain on‑prem peripherals, including print servers, Follow Me printing, and executive AV setups.

Required profile

• Available to start in June 2026 with valid New Zealand work rights.
• 3+ years of system administration, infrastructure engineering, or EUC engineering experience in a hybrid corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS desktop support.
• Hands‑on experience with AD, GPO, Azure AD/Entra ID, and hybrid SSO.
• Understanding of computer security, data protection, storage, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
