Director – Technology Consulting

About the role

We are seeking a Director to lead the Wayfinders consulting practice in New Zealand. Based in Auckland or Wellington, you will help clients harness emerging technologies to achieve growth and profitability while shaping the brand’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic growth by cultivating existing and new client relationships and winning consulting engagements.
• Collaborate with Consulting Partners to build credibility, expand market presence and unlock revenue opportunities.
• Lead large‑scale, complex technology transformation projects, delivering measurable outcomes and mentoring high‑performing consulting teams across Oceania.
• Define go‑to‑market strategy, develop scalable service offerings and position Wayfinders as a trusted advisor for strategic technology initiatives.
• Report to the Melbourne‑based Partner and travel to Australia as required.

Required profile

• Director‑level experience in a management consultancy or technology advisory practice.
• Proven ability to build consulting relationships, shape opportunities and support business development.
• Experience designing strategic initiatives and go‑to‑market offerings, preferably within enterprise or public‑sector contexts.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior decision‑makers.
• Collaborative mindset with the capacity to lead, develop and inspire diverse teams.
