Rebate Accountant

About the role

The Warehouse Group is seeking a proactive Rebate Accountant to own and enhance its supplier rebate processes. Reporting to the Financial Controller for Noel Leeming, you will play a key part in driving insight, accuracy, and continuous improvement across rebate accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting for supplier rebates, including volume rebates, promotional funding and marketing contributions.
• Ensure rebate income is recognised accurately in line with contracts and accounting standards.
• Maintain detailed rebate schedules and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Prepare and maintain robust balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide guidance to offshore teams handling transactional and administrative rebate tasks.
• Execute month‑end close activities, including journal preparation, accruals and reclassifications.
• Collaborate with buyers, finance teams and external suppliers to resolve issues.
• Participate in broader financial accounting activities as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel for analytical tasks.
• Previous rebate accounting experience (mandatory).
• CA qualification or progress towards it (preferred).
